Charles John Stanley (January 17, 1712 - May 19, 1786) was an English composer and organist.

Stanley, world health organization was blind from an early age, studied music by using Maurice Greene and held a total of organist appointments inside London. He was the friend of George Frideric Handel, and below Handel's dying, Stanley joined number 1 sustaining John Christopher Smith and later by having Thomas Linley to continue a series of oratorio concerts Handel had established.

Around 1779, Stanley succeeded William Boyce as Master of the King's Musick.

Stanley's works include a opera Teraminta, the spectacular cantata The Choice of Hercules, 12 more oratorio by owning texts by John Hawkins, the oratorios Jephtha, The Fall of Egypt & Zimri, & subservient music.
